BIOGRAPHY
Ralouka Montesi, a British photographer of Lebanese origin, survived during her childhood a long war that had an indelible impact on her view of life as a temporary and fragile reality. Danger, killing, loss and death were part of a daily bread that became a sort of inherent and unimpressive events after some years.
After graduating with a degree in Advertising Marketing, Ralouka left Lebanon, like many Lebanese of her generation, to travel the world. She has lived in enriching and inspirational environments such as India, Italy, France, USA and UK where she actually resides.
Her extensive travelling and unique experiences played a big role in shaping her outlook on life and inevitably reflected on her style in her photographs.
Ralouka Montesi mainly focuses her artistic statement on psychological, philosophical and metaphysical themes through abstract, street and experimental photography. Her works are exhibited in different countries (Italy, UK, France and Lebanon) and are part of private collections in the United Kingdom and in Italy.
